Born in Haarlem (NL). I absolved a fully technical education after which I started to work at Fokker Aircraft Company at Schiphol. The first few years at the laboratories for Bonding adhesives and paint technic. Than I changed to the standards departement. I was member of international (ISO and AECMA) standardisation committees for mechanical fastening systems and semi-products. I was also responsible for te co-ordination of the technical design manuals with our design partners in Ireland and Germany. After the bankruptcy of Fokker, I worked half a year as a projectleader at Machine factory JARO in Alkmaar. Since 1997, I work at Kenteq, in the past the "Stichting Opleidingen Metaal". Here I am responsible for designing assessments for Technical students in the Metal branch. For those who are interested in my personal situation: I am married (1977) and we have one daughter (1986). With respect to photography: I am not specialized in one or two specific themes. I like to take pictures of almost everything I see. From people to technical matters and from Architecture to Nature. I hope you enjoy the photo's on my site. Please feel free to contact me for whatever reason via the "E-mail me" button below. |

1967 |
During my education I was infected with photography bij a teacher. Via a holiday and a Saturday job, I raised the money to buy my first SLR. A Praktica Super TL. Slowly I added several accessories to the camera. Tele and wide angle lenses, converters, flash, filters and off course a case. During this time, I mainly shoot black-white negative photo's. Many of these are still in my possession but the quality of the negatives is highly questionable. One moment of carelessness however, ment that all my gear was stolen during a holliday in St. Goar (Germany). |

| 1981 |
A few years after the theft of my gear I bought an new camera. The, at that time, most popular Canon AE-1 program, together with a 50mm objective. I also extended this set. I added a Tokina AT-X 28 - 85mm and a sunpak flash. During that time I took a lot of slides. Approximately 4500 are still in my possession. (Costs a lot of space!) Because of the actuality, I changed hobby and photography was only actual during my holidays. |

| 2003 |
With the introduction of the digital camera, my old hobby became active again. I read a lot of magazines and tests and finally I decided to by my first digital camera. The Nikon Coolpix 995. A masterly camera was that. 3,34 megapixels and I was able to make nice quality pictures. Digital processing on the computer was not applicable than. This camera was still in use with my daughter untilthe year 2008 when she bought a complete Nikon D40 set. |

Technic developed and so did my requirements. I was taking more and more pictures and the Coolpix 995 could not fullfill my requirements anymore. Therefore I decided to look for a replacement. Again I did a lot of "homework" and again I found a Nikon. The Coolpix 8800 with its 8 Mp and 10x optical zoom. I worked a lot with this camera but still I missed something. The possibilities of my old SLR. |

| 2007 |
So, in 2007 I again did a lot of "homework" and again a Nikon was my favourite. Now the D80 with the 18 - 70mm kitobjective. This lens is now replaced by the Tamron 17 - 50 f2.8 and the Tamron 28 - 75 f2.8. I visit the Nikon Club Nederland forum regularly in order to share experience about all Nikon products. I also became a member of the Dutch Nikon Club |

2009 |
In July 2009 I took the step to change to the newer D90. The counter on zero again and learning to get used to this piece of technic. |

2011 |
Well, the D90 and the Tamron 17-50 also changed their owner (see below) in February since I took the opportunity to start with a D7000. Added a Nikkkor 17 - 55 f/2.8 to it. By the way: The D90,the Tamron 17-50, the Nikkor 70-300 and the Nikkor 50mm 1.8 are now in use by my daughter. | |||
